May It Haunt You

So new poem today, on a snowy Thursday. This poem I wrote after reading a fellow students poem about her a personal experience called the Secret. I hope you enjoy and remember, you have the strength to walk your path.

May It Haunt You.

I'm going to jump in here and say,
How is this world full of dark, sick, terrible people
I beg the question, why do people feel like
they have to cause more harm to others then to themselves

Tell me, you think because you going through something,
means you can take it out on someone else.
How dare you walk into my life and turn it upside down,
was it a game, was it pleasure or simply to make yourself feel better.

You turned to me with a dark look in your eye,
A smirk on your face, everything you where intrigued me.
Wanting to know more about you,
But the devil always comes in something that interests you.

How dare you think you could take the burning fire within my soul,
Like it was your refuge
The rock you could hide behind,
While your whole world came crashing down.

No, the one decision I made for me,
Call me selfish but you have to stand on your own,
I am the good, I have the light in my heart,
The strength in my soul to walk this path

So NO, I will not keep the secret.
People need to know who you are and what you have done,
You have to live with the decisions you've made
And may it haunt you for the rest of your life.
